Day 8: Christmas Bells

In my mom’s Christmas tree ornaments she has some bells.  These are special bells because my grandma Fogg made them. I remember one time my mom sat down with us and tried to teach us how to make these. I think my mom had to first sit down and figure it out herself. They are simple bells made of beads. Last year, while looking at pintrest, I came upon a pattern for the same bells. My sisters and I always admired those bells so I thought for a great gift I would make each sister a set of 10. I have three sisters. That means I had to do at least 30 bells. I wanted a set myself that would make 40! That’s a lot of bells. I sneakily asked my sisters what their color scheme was on their trees. I started making them in November and had them done by the first week in December. I actually made 46 bells. I decided that each of my sisters should have a bell the original color of grandma Fogg’s bells so we could each have a little of her with us on Christmas. I have three of that color so someday I can hand them down to my kids. Do you have any special ornaments that remind you of a wonderful time in your life?
