{"id":243,"date":"2009-09-30T14:54:16","date_gmt":"2009-09-30T21:54:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/karin.zmonkey.org\/?p=243"},"modified":"2009-09-30T14:54:16","modified_gmt":"2009-09-30T21:54:16","slug":"health-care-rantings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/karin.zmonkey.org\/?p=243","title":{"rendered":"Health care rantings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have just recieved a statement in the mail that has really made me angry.\u00a0 Before I tell you what has made me angry let me give you an understanding where I&#8217;m coming from.\u00a0 71\/2 years ago we had great insurance through Corey&#8217;s work.\u00a0 It payed for pretty much everything 100%.\u00a0 We had eye coverage and dental coverage.\u00a0 It was a really great plan.\u00a0 He worked for a really big company and I guess because of that they got good deals on insurance.\u00a0 Well after a little while Corey lost his job and we were with nothing.\u00a0 We had to move back in with my parents and had no insurance whatsoever.\u00a0 Our oldest was 5 months old at the time and unfortunately was sick a lot.\u00a0 The doctors were great to give me discounts and free samples to help us out.\u00a0 After about a year Corey found another job but with a small company that had no benefits.\u00a0 We had to get insurance on our own and paid about $300 a month for the bare minimum.\u00a0 Finally he found a job with benefits.\u00a0 It looked promising.\u00a0 It had eye coverage, dental, and health.\u00a0 We had a pretty high deductible but it was do able.\u00a0 Every year since things have gone down hill.\u00a0 First we lost the eye coverage.\u00a0 Then the dental insurance went up.\u00a0 Then they switched dental on us all together and it covers practically nothing.
