{"id":1808,"date":"2013-12-19T08:00:47","date_gmt":"2013-12-19T15:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/karin.zmonkey.org\/?p=1808"},"modified":"2013-12-19T10:09:17","modified_gmt":"2013-12-19T17:09:17","slug":"12-days-of-christmas-memories-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/karin.zmonkey.org\/?p=1808","title":{"rendered":"12 Days of Christmas Memories"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Day 7: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Christmas Sweaters<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>You may be thinking of the ugly sweater contests that have been becoming more and more popular this year.\u00a0 That&#8217;s not what I&#8217;m talking about.\u00a0 Every Christmas Eve my parents would let us open one present.\u00a0 The present we would open would be the one from my Aunt who lived in California.\u00a0 Every year it would be a sweater.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know why my parents let us open this particular present.\u00a0 Maybe they were hoping we would change into something nice the next morning before opening presents.\u00a0 We didn&#8217;t.\u00a0 I have a faint memory of getting pjs one year but I can&#8217;t be sure of that. Maybe that&#8217;s why the tradition started. Anyway, For the most part these sweaters were really nice and I looked forward to getting one every year.
