\"\"<\/a>Well we finally did it.\u00a0 It only took us 8 years but we did it.\u00a0 We have lived here in Idaho Falls for 8 years and as most of you know it’s really close to Yellowstone.\u00a0\u00a0 I’ve been there with my family a number of times but Corey had never been.\u00a0 We would always get this appalling look from people when we told them that Corey had never been.\u00a0 Our number one reason for not going was because of a certain little boy of ours who, you could say, is a runner.\u00a0 Levi is and has always been fearless.\u00a0 On the other hand I was full of fear.\u00a0 I was fearful that if we took him to Yellowstone he would take off and get lost.\u00a0 I was fearful that he would run off and jump into a hot pot or get eaten by a bear.\u00a0 We finally felt he was old enough not to run off and jump into the scalding water.<\/p>\n

This particular week that we went was free national park week.\u00a0 So we didn’t even have to pay an entrance fee.\u00a0 We also heard that because it was spring we would probably get to see the bears out.\u00a0\u00a0 We unfortunately didn’t see any bears but we did get to see plenty of buffalo and elk.\u00a0 We didn’t go to Lamar valley which is where the bears were being seen.\u00a0 Since this was Corey and the kid’s first time we ended up doing the hot pot loop.\u00a0 We saw Old Faithful and really cool mud pots and geysers.\u00a0 I love being in Nature and this was actually a nice and relaxing trip.\u00a0 It was a little chilly and it did snow on us some.\u00a0 Because it was chilly there really wasn’t a lot of people there.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Now that we have gone I think there are more plans in the future for us to return.\u00a0 There is a lot to explore and we only touched the surface.\u00a0 I can’t wait to go again.<\/p>\n

kids participated in the wildlife Olympics and received a junior ranger badge<\/p><\/div>\n

Sophia got too tired to walk. Poor Corey had to carry her everywhere.<\/p><\/div>\n
